After the success of “Thor,” it’s not too much of a surprise that Chris Hemsworth is lining up future projects. His newest, “Shadow Runner,” was just acquired by Sony Pictures according to Deadline, and has lined up several producers as well. Hemsworth’s character will lead an elite team of operatives who will take on impossible tasks, the website reports. First, though, Hemsworth will be starring in “Snow White and the Huntsman.”
Fans of Kristen Stewart have received some big news. Not only did Universal confirm the casting of Chris Hemsworth in Snow White and the Huntsman in a tweet, but Entertainment Weekly also revealed the film will be released six months ahead of schedule on Monday as well. Those wanting to see the movie will be able to see it on the big screen in Scottsdale and around the country in June 2012. Universal sent out the following tweet about casting on their official Twitter on Monday:

Chris Hemsworth had been in talks to take on the role of the huntsman for weeks now, but now it is official. However, the change of release date is surprising. The film was scheduled for release in December 2012. This change in release date will put both Snow White projects out in the same month. Filming on Snow White and the Huntsman is scheduled to begin in September.
